Monty, our beloved Hungarian Vizsla, has been with Paul’s walking and daycare for the last 3 years, since he was 4 months old. Monty absolutely loves Paul, and the whole family – he excitedly waits at the door for Paul to arrive in the mornings. We know how incredibly well taken care of Monty is, and that he is in the safest hands with Paul.

Monty gets well exercised, to play with other dogs, in a home-from-home environment and with human contact. It’s perfect for us, and we wouldn’t be without it. I unreservedly recommend Langley Dog Walking and Boarding, if they’re not taking care of your dogs, you’re missing out.

“We searched long and hard to find someone to look after our very sensitive English Setter, Merlin. We had decided that kennels were not for us.

Purely by chance we met Paul Langley whilst walking Merlin and started to chat and found Paul so knowledgeable regarding dogs and their care that it was easy to make the decision to have Paul board our dog. Prior to us leaving Merlin at Pauls house we were asked for his daily routine this was used to keep him feel happy and secure. Merlin was greeted very calmly and seem to settle straight away. While we were away Paul even took the trouble to text us to let us know that Merlin was ok. When we collected Merlin he was very happy and had been cared for so well that he was in no hurry to leave Pauls’ house, he was even allowed on the sofa during his stay. (like he does at home)

Now when we meet Paul out on our walks Merlin greets him like a friend. I cannot praise Paul and his family enough for looking after Merlin so well and feel that not only has Merlin found a friend, we feel that we have too. All you doggy people know what a traumatic experience it can be leaving your dog in someone else’s care, but I would not hesitate to recommend Paul Langley to anyone to have him board or walk their dog.

“Ozzie is our 5 year old golden retriever who we adopted only 9 months ago and who has a deformity to his front leg, so we were very reluctant to leave him in kennels when we went on holiday. Langley dog boarding was recommended to me by a work colleague as they offer a home from home service whereby they take your dog into their own home and integrate them into their family life. I can be quite fussy and went armed with a list of do’s and don’ts, but nothing was too much trouble. They were extremely friendly and professional and Ozzie settled in very quickly, in fact before we’d even left. They have a lovely garden with lots of areas any dog would love to explore and guaranteed to walk him at least twice a day. They were even kind enough to send me a couple of photos via what’s app and it was plain to see that Ozzie was having just as much fun on his holiday as we were on ours. It was a great relief to know Ozzie was so well cared for in a homely environment while we were away and it allowed us to relax. I cannot recommend them highly enough and Ozzie will most definitely be taking his holidays with the Langley’s in future as and when we take ours.”

“We booked our Bernese Mountain Dog with Langley Dog Walks for three weeks in May this year. We felt she would be cared for in a family home, not kennels. On our return we were thrilled to see a happy, well groomed Elkie, who was very excited. She seemed reluctant to leave the Langleys but we said we would use them each time we planned to go away. Many, many thanks to them for giving Elkie so much love and attention.”

“Bumble, our 8-year old ‘rescue’ Jack Russell/Sealeyham terrier cross has taken to Paul and his young family like a duck to water. We needed a dog walker to help us out on a flexible basis and Paul was more than happy to do that. We have since made it a regular thing twice a week, but we can usually increase this at fairly short notice if necessary. Paul’s approach of only taking one dog for a walk at a time was perfect for Bumble as she needs to have a close eye kept on her because she tends to get behind her walker (needing to sniff and mark what sometimes seems like every blade of grass) and can occasionally be snappy with other dogs.

Bumble has twice been on holiday to the Langleys’ and is booked in for her Autumn break. I’m not sure she is that bothered about coming back!”

Paul, Mandy, and the children, create the kind of warm and sociable family home that make you wonder if it’s you getting the holiday or your dog.

I’ll save you the question – it’s both. My 10-month-old Swiss Mountain dog (Buckley) always returns to me better behaved, utterly soppy, soft-coated, and with eyes that say, ‘I don’t wanna go.’

I know she benefits from being around Paul and Mandy’s calm energy…and the children’s excitement and attention…and I trust them completely.

This is so much more that a sitting service, it’s a home-from-home.

If they had a spare room, I’d move in myself.”

“Tilly has been on holiday at Paul’s twice now and has had a fantastic time. Paul and his family are so welcoming and kind, they all clearly love dogs and its wonderful to be able to get away knowing Tilly is cuddled, walked and played with.
On her first visit she had a little unforeseen issue that Paul dealt with very sensibly, consulted a vet and everything was sorted out very quickly. Paul is very straightforward and I totally trust him to look after Tilly.”
